Reviews and Ratings
My stay at Ellersly was decent with some positives and negatives. The rooms were a bit hot, and some in our group had to switch at early hours, but they were reasonably comfortable. The service was top-notch, with the staff being very helpful and kind, even going out of their way to accommodate special requests. The location, though not the fanciest, was excellent for reaching Murrayfield quickly and had easy access to Edinburgh Zoo and the city center. The dining experience was good overall, with breakfast being satisfactory, but with occasional temperature issues. The facilities were decent and met our needs with no major complaints.
I had a delightful stay at the hotel, especially enjoying the beautiful garden and the evening drink in such a serene atmosphere. The staff was attentive and accommodating, although there were some issues that couldn't be compensated for. The location is convenient, offering easy access to the city center and transportation options. The dining experience was a mix of surprises, with fresh fruit salad and a buffet; however, the Scottish touch might not be to everyone's taste.
My stay at the hotel was wonderful. The room was very spacious with a large comfortable bed and a lovely view of the gardens to the rear. The service was superb, with the staff helping us decide what to eat/drink and chatting away with us about our trip. The location was quite impressive, offering a quiet atmosphere while being so close to the city center. The dining experience was of fair quality, and the facilities were top-notch.
The hotel offers a decent size room with a lovely view of the garden but lacks maintenance, equipping, and attention to cleanliness. The service stands out for being extremely helpful, friendly, and welcoming, making up for some of the hotel's shortcomings. The location is good, close to the center of Edinburgh and the airport, although not in the most upscale area. The dining experience, while limited in choice, provides all the basic necessities.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, with clean and comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. The location was convenient, close to the city center, and the dining experience was excellent. However, the rooms felt a bit outdated compared to the modern decor, and the service could be improved in terms of noise levels.
